the Wera family has been looking after guests from around the world. The founders, Jubilant and Rose, were not in the business for the quick buck but to create a sustainable future for themselves and their children. The personal touch that the family has added to every trip they organized resulted in returning customers and positive referrals. Their son Emmanuel learned the business from scratch and will now take over the wheel at Park East Africa with his parents slowly pulling out of the day to day running of the company. Jubilant
Managing Director and founding father of Park East Africa, has been involved in the tourism industry for over thirty years. His philanthropic nature has led to his involvement in various projects that support local communities in Tanzania. Mr Wera holds a postgraduate degree in International Marketing (Tourism) from the Maastricht Institute of Management in the Netherlands and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce & Management from the University of Dar es Salaam. Jubilant loves working with people and you will be mesmerized by his warm personality before you know it.
Emmanuel
Operations Director of Park East Africa team (and the go-to person for all enquiries and requests), holds a Bachelor’s Degree in human resource management, and has travelled extensively in North America and Europe and has thus an understanding of the culture park east Africa’s clients are coming from. Emmanuel is currently doing his MBA and aims to lead Park East Africa into new markets and adapting to new technologies. You will never see him without a smile or without his Blackberry.
Rose
is Park East Africa’s administration manager. She keeps everything at our head quarter in tip-top order through her organizational skills and administrative background. Rose makes sure appointments are not forgotten, clients are picked up on time, cars are well maintained and staff looked after. She welcomes guests with the genuine, heartfelt warmth of a Tanzanian Mama. Like her son Emmanuel she is not seen without a smile and keeps contact with the team through her smart-phone.
Belinda
Bookings and client communication. Belinda has a Bachelors degree in Public Relations and Marketing from Saint Augustine University in Tanzania. She makes sure agent or client requests do not go unnoticed and are returned within 4 hours if possible or latest 24 hours. Belinda creates our itineraries and brochures and has a talent for design. Like the whole Wera family she has a smart phone so no email escapes her.
Brenda
manages the philanthropic projects Park East Africa founded or is involved with. She has a great way with children and is interested in art and fashion. She makes sure that the projects with which our company wants to give back to the communities are not forgotten and that our company gets regular updates about the progress and financial status of each development.
Karsten
is currently Park East Africa’s Sales & Marketing Consultant. Karsten works closely with Emmanuel and Jubilant to help lifting the company to the most professional level achievable. He has a diploma in public administration and a degree in marketing strategy & consumer behaviour from the university of Waikato in New Zealand. Before coming to Africa in 2008, Karsten worked in Germany, USA and London in advertising agencies. Karsten is a high-altitude mountaineer and tour leader, scuba dives since 10 years and loves walking in the bush. He worked in two top adventure travel companies for the last years as acting GM, Head of Sales & Marketing and in operations. In this function he consulted with agents worldwide for tailor made safaris and adventurous experiences in East Africa.
