Mkomazi National Park
This former game reserve contains 90% of all botanic species found in Tanzania. A captive breeding program for the endangered African Wild Dog is on-going, as is the Mkomazi Rhino Project which hopes to breed the Black Rhinos imported from South Africa for future relocation to their natural habitats within Tanzania.
Activities
- Game driving, night game driving by arrangement. Road network somewhat limited, but improvements in progress
- Hiking with a guide in designated areas, ranging from a couple of hours to several days
