Our featured Lodges and Camps are of course a very subjective choice. The hotel category or their TripAdvisor rating did not play a role. These are just places we personally prefer and which our guests love. All have great management and many feature a great location and unique design. There is the former home of a German movie star, a tree house on a remote island, a wilderness camp which offers probably the best guiding in Northern Tanzania, a luxury camp on an island in Victoria Lake, a lodge which has damn good wine even in the mini bar and a home away from home which is great for birders. On the banner above you see Sh’umata Camp which undoubtedly has one of the best views on Kilimanjaro (in case you do not want to climb it).
