Overview

A shorter version of Northern Tanzania 1, this is a standard lodge safari to Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and Arusha National Park. ANP is home to towering Mount Meru and the rare black & white Colobus monkey.

Tour Plan

Day 1:

Morning drive to Manyara at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and lunch at Lake Manyara Hotel. Afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel overlooking the Lake (full board).

Day 2:

After breakfast, drive across the Ngorongoro Highlands to the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. Game viewing and picnic lunch en route to dinner/overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge (full board).

Day 3:

Full day in Serengeti National Park, home to the Great Migration. Early morning and late afternoon game drives in search of predators and their prey. Meals and overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge (full board).

Day 4:

Morning game drive and visit to Olduvai Gorge with picnic lunch. Afternoon game viewing en route to Ngorongoro and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge, perched on the Crater rim (full board).

Day 5:

Full day Crater tour with lunch at Hippo Pool picnic site on the crater floor. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge (full board) .

Day 6:

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park. Game viewing en route to lunch at Tarangire Safari Park, located on a bluff inside the park and overlooking the Tarangire River. Afternoon game drive or at leisure. Overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge (full board)

Day 7:

Full DAYin Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees and huge herds of elephant. Morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge (full board).

Day 8:

Today after breakfast we leave Tarangire and drive to Arusha National Park, home of the black & white colobus monkey. Game drive in the park and optional walk with armed ranger. Meals and overnight at Ngurdoto Lodge (full board).
